>>53762683There are some problems with the current Experience Share:
1. It isn’t “sharing” experience. The original experience share item divided the same experience over multiple Pokémon. The current experience share gives every Pokémon experience without taking from others, essentially making up experience out of thin air. More Pokémon in your party leads to more overall experience.
2. It messes with the lore. The original experience share was an item that looked like signal receiving headgear that allowed the experience share wearing Pokémon a way to gain experience from the battle. The point was to selectively allow a Pokémon to virtually participate in the battle. Without that item, you had to experience the battle directly to get experience. They usually gave you the experience share in the mid to late game to level up new Pokémon that might have been caught way under the levels expected at that point in the game. Giving it to everyone removes the need to ever switch train Pokémon (i.e. make them actually battle to grow).
