There's so much word of god in the anime's production, like the whole 'Dinosaur fossils versus Pokemon' plot for the third movie or the justification for why (at least in the OG series) why fish were the only actual animal left on Earth but people seemingly knew about them. If I could read Japanese I'd love to look through Takeshi Shudo's novelizations of the series and the original intended canon.
See, I didn't know Miranda's VA sung that song, but it's still weird in context of everything else. Like, why is she with Misty? Why is Misty an adult? Plus, in the full trailer above there's scenes that don't appear in the movie like Team Rocket's Battle ship, The battle in the purple canyon, Pikachu flying Pidgeotto, Ash being tossed into a river, and so forth. So, there must have been some reason for her to be in the trailer, but whatever relevancy was kicked out of the final product. I was just wondering if anyone knew it, but I guess no publicly.
