So explain why you think it is on a development fork of what ever S&S engine is.
Fun fact black mesa is a Franken engine of Team fortress 2 engine and the portal 2 engine (portal is in game universe as half-life) but the developers produced this on the source engine build 2015.
Pokemon engines seem to work similarly in comparison.
