Like, if Digimon used these as a permanent basis and all Digimon across all media shared these charts so you knew exactly what evolved into what and why, that would be awesome. It would mean you'd have access to a functional evolutionary tree for Digimon at all times. But that isn't how they work. Because these trees get pruned and rewritten constantly depending on who's making the game. And that's fucking lame. It means there's no foundation to the principals of evolution in Digimon and the series suffers for it.
