>>50014787I think the owl is popular, yeah, but its also the fact that the owl is the only archer/sniper type in the game, people who pick the owl think they can always get the clutch assassinations or objective steals with a perfectly timed shot, and in general are playing with the expectation of not working with the team. They're basically playing a singleplayer game that happens to have 4 random allies and not a 5v5 team based game, if that makes sense.
These kinds of players are in every game, the best comparison I can make is think of your Owl player as a shitty TF2 Spy main who thinks he's gonna get the sickest matador into a chainstab and get away after.
