>>56135068Thanks for the "constructive criticism" shithead, but you said a whole lot of nothing.
No shit Gengar is still an amazing mon before gen 4, I know that first hand and never said otherwise, I just mentioned the first 2 mons that came to my mind with shitty dual-types because of massive stat disparities. Gengar has a ton of coverage and great stats, but if you want to hit particularly hard with it against an enemy that isn't weak to any of it, it just doesn't hit like Gen 4+, having Ice and Fire Punch doesn't change that, even if they're fun to use. When I play Pokemon and consider the type balance on my team I account for both the defense and offensive coverage overall, If a Pokemon can't take advantage of their own STAB's then its type only matters defensively, and Gengar isn't a mon I or anyone use for it's defenses, even with 3 immunities in gen 3-6. Without having a decent Shadow Ball it's a sitting duck against psychic types it would crush, same for ghosts.
You wanna be so anal about the term "fucked over" but the whole point I tried to make is without PSS there's wasted potential everywhere, just like the other anons have said since and gone into more depth about.
It's telling when you didn't even try to address Sneasel, Ice/Dark type with 95 attack and 35 special attack, how do you defend that? It's not even good. This anon
>>56135154 listed out 7 more mons that ACTUALLY needed and appreciated the change, and you guys can't come up with a single compelling argument to the contrary.
Yeah, Gengar doesn't need STAB to be good, but a rising tide raises all ships. You anti-split guys would rather all the ships sink, apparently.
If the creators want to make the change that's their perogative, gen 2 is better than gen 3 for mixed attackers anyways due to stat experience and no natures at least, but if cunts like you have nothing of value to say then shut up, it's an eyesore to read.
