>>39812772At least 4 square miles of detailed explorable area; physics engine allows for vegetation, clothing, fur, long ears, etc. to fluster in the wind. Rotatable camera, and much better lighting. Deserts, valleys, mountains, coasts. (California region, when?)
Fleshed out, real-time combat system that plays well and values player input/skill/precision/timing over luck. Battles are no longer instanced. This will be an optional mode. You are controlling the Pokémon by the trainer's commands; this way, moves have weight to them and allows for breathing room (moreso than Pokkén). You can jump/dodge like in the anime. Z-moves/megas can be used after filling up a meter based on performance.
Pokémon's animations are massively improved. You can have your full party outside their balls, following you around. They'll realistically react to stimuli such as taking not very effective vs. supereffective damage, cold/hot/rainy weather... Models are properly scaled. All Pokémon's cries are re-recorded and have mulitple per.
IVs are a thing of the past. Natures are purely for roleplaying purposes.
You can control your Pokémon, and you will follow them. Pokémon have secondary overworld abilities. Dark-types have superior night vision, agile Pokémon can reach objects others cannot, etc, Fire-types and bioluminescent Pokémon can be light sources, and so on.
Much better player customization. Can play as a kid, teenager, young adult, or elderly; multiple face options for each. Clothing is massively expanded on (actual pants and long sleeves covering up the ankles/wrists this time around, no stupid ass bracelet gimmick).
