>>41799388Well S&M (anime) deviates A LOT from SM (game), there's no island challenge, no captains, Ash "adventure" is going to school, etc, they only kept the most critical moments (Lusamine fusing with Nihilego, Necrozma overloading with light and the protagonist becoming the first Pokemon League Champion in Alola) but this is on a whole new level, the story has NOTHING to do with the games at all, they will obviously shoehorn Rose and Eternatus in some episodes but the average episode won't have anything to do with the games
Hell, next episode is the first time Ash and Go will ear about Galar and Dynamax, and they will leave a visit another place in the next one IIRC
