Gamefreak said they do not like doing the same thing every time. They have a bunch of loose ends from Kalos. They would not promote all this new shit without planning to sell it. This will be a new game with a new story and pokemon, but closely tied with XY and its plot. It cannot be strictly called a new gen or a remake. It will likely still be a "Kalos" game, but with a vastly reformed Kalos. So you will get the "Kalos" game you were looking for, but aside from engine and some common features it will be virtually nothing like XY.
