When my mom bought me silver in 2001 (I'm European) I was eight and just played the game for fun and all.
However, when Ruby and sapphire came, she couldn't afford it right away, so i re-played my crystal version. By that time, I had hit puberty, and I had this thing where I would call picnicker Liz on the poke gear, go battle her, and then fap furiously to the fantasy of it being a date or something.
