So my strategy was to teach Rock Smash to Shedinja and through it, defeat the Steel types, while Fury Cutter got everything else, unable to be hit.
Well Voltorb apparently knows Rollout and destroyed my whole strategy in one turn. Both of my carries so far perished, until I came up with the Yawn + Amnesia combo of Teriyaki, which made her able to defeat the gym while resisting everything.
Emerald was so close to a second wipe, whew.
