You can hear IKU Z faintly in the episode's sound mixing, and we know it ends as he tosses the fire shuriken.
My problem with that is before it looked some epic finisher move, but now with the slower-paced stance, where greninja just stands there charging, It looks less like an end to a battle and more like their final effort before things go wrong. Where's all strategizing? Why isn't Ash performing a stance in the middle of some dynamic action, like the double team from Shota? You could tell that the Shota shuriken was an actual finisher move, but this doesn't quite feel the same.
IKU Z can end with a grand move and still be hype without Ash necessarily winning--just look at Diantha Pt. 2. Hypest use of Iku Z but it didn't mean he got the official win.
It almost looks like a mid-match attack here. As if Iku Z starts too early, and there's still a whole lot more to work with. Greninja looks undamaged after all. I could see Ash being pushed to the limit and whipping out this new move halfway in, almost losing, and then being reinvigorated by Serena or something, but otherwise I can't help but be scared, thinking that Alan will receive all of Ash's strength halfway into the match, and have the other half to counter him.
