Grinding was successful, by and large anyway. (Air Raid I unwittingly let die at the hands of a Fearow that'd gotten in some crits on a prolonged Fury Attack while in the process). So I was down once more a party member and again, I was impatient, so I decided to go ahead and take on the League as is, though feeling somewhat more confident than last as I had a bit more coverage than last time.
Bumblebee and Bluestreak handled most of Lorelei's team, but I did have to bring in Jetfire to cook Jynx. Surprisingly came out okay after taking an Ice Punch. Blue then soloed Bruno entirely. Brawn took on most of Agatha's ghosts after I lead in with Bluestreak again, knowing that the first Gengar's Mega Drain was twice as likely to fuck with the former's Ground/Rock typing. Against Lance I tried to proceed carefully - lead in with Blue for Gyarados, swapped out to Brawn for his Dragonair with electric attacks, then back to Blue for the other one. Had way too many close-calls the rest of the match - Bluestreak tanked not one, but two critical Hyperbeams between the last Dragonair and Aerodactyl. And I was fortunate enough that he was able to outspeed his Dragonite for a OHKO.
In the last Rival match, I thought for sure that I'd lost most of my team. Leading in with Ratchet he crit on Razor Leaf against Sandslash, and Brawn was just able to hold on against Alakazam. One last time I called on Jetfire to smoke Exeggutor, then left Cloyster and Ninetales to Bluestreak. Lastly, against Jolteon, Brawn was able to claim us the championship.
So that's it for this Nuzlocke. Will be moving onto Gen 2 soon enough.
