The majority of movies, video games, books, and really any Form of entertainment has some aspect of violence. Pokemon proposes a violent sport that uses animals instead of weapons or tools. The nature or motives of the relationship between man and Pokemon are unknown, but it's less horrifying than some of the things man and animals do in real life. It's a pretend version of the real world with rounded edges. And most of all its a story, a well told story, if you don't like it I'm sorry. Maybe you can play call of duty if Pokemon is too violent for you.
