One of the reasons I took so much time to progress through this game was that I went out of my way to EV train Maria with speed and it sure as fuck payed off, I can very easily imagine this gym being a colossal pain in the ass to beat if you don't have a really fast Psychic type, well, not like the gym wasn't already a massive pain in the ass due to the puzzle.
