I'm still hopeful. I'll be buying a Switch around the time ACNH comes out and I'll probably buy a used copy of SWSH if it still interests me.
I'm also not totally against pokemon mobile games as long as they have some quality and play value. I currently play GO and I just use those survey apps to save up money and buy things that way so I'm not spending money. If Home has an amie/trade function i'll be happy and i'm still waiting to hear about the other apps in development. I honestly think a lot of people are blowing this out of proportion, but if they want to leave the franchise behind i'm not going to try to convince them to stay and can see their viewpoint as well.
