The gameplay loop for both generating and hatching eggs needs active and passive versions: Active being something like the current Bike Simulator and passive like Poké Pelago's Isle Avue. This is to accommodate various playstyles and demands.
I mentioned that IVs should be removed entirely in the last thread. Have aesthetic stats like size, hue variance, and even egg pattern replace IVs for the breeding incentive. Also give the shiny trait increased chances by making it passable again like in Gen 2.
Balltism should not be a genetic trait and instead become its own customization separate from breeding.
Controversial take, but with how the series is currently, I think every single evolution line should have a means to be obtainable an unlimited amount of times and most would be through breeding. To balance it, there should be some reasonable extra effort, even something as simple as a new egg group, lowered egg chances, or requiring the Pokémon to hold a special item. This mainly applies to legendaries and mythicals so there doesn't have to be an excuse in every game as to why 30 different unbreedable legendaries from 10 past games are unrealistically here for the player to run through catch RNG yet again. Fuck Ultra Space Wilds, fuck Max Lair, and fuck Snacksworth;
Mirage Spots weren't as bad. If you insist on having us trade them to complete our Pokédex, allow them to participate in competitive events, and have only one save file per cartridge/profile, don't make them limited per playthrough, version exclusive, or only available for a limited real life time and place; alternatively, give us other means to add their Pokédex entries or use them in tournaments without actually having them.
