The overworld graphics of SS to me are fine, but they really should have touched up the Pokemon and character models more.
Maybe carved some more detail into the models, as they literally paint on a lot of details like eyes, noses, and mouths with textures exclusively.
And gave the character a bit more work in the face area at least, they look too similar to SM/USUM character models there.
