>>16399855I think it's more about the fact that Urobos never seemed to be the kind of place that has the same shitty history as IRL south America. I always assumed it was SA as it would have existed if it had been allowed to develop free of most European influence, which explains why it isn't divided into tons of small countries and instead exists as one cohesive region, and that the only real foreign influence they've seen sofar is that which isn't completely terrible (Mangrove/Cameron just wants to study, Feona just wants to run her fathers factory, Samurai just wants to find his bugs) and it isn't until the Evil team show up that the real evils of foreign influence are seen.
therefore there would have been no reason for a character like Che to exist in Urobos.
