Back in high school I found out this guy I was friends with played pokemon when HGSS came out. I was actually the nerdy one and thought he was way cooler than me, he was kind of a popular dude. We traded, battled, and talked about pokemon a lot. It was neat because we would also talk about having to hide our power levels and stuff, but he helped me feel more comfortable about being open about liking pokemon. I haven't seen him in years, but I still think about him every time I see pic related, his favorite pokemon.
