This guy. In my first game, Yellow, I used Charmander simply because it was the first Fire-type, and it looked really cute. It quickly replaced Pikachu as the highest leveled Pokemon in my team, and pulled me through the League, even though I was still underleveled.
Although Generation VI was just a mess overall, I still thank it for introducing Mega Evolution.
