I see so many people here hoping for variants of their favourite Pokemon, and I'm left scratching my head. Isn't this a bad thing? If you're a fan of original Marowak for example, why would you be excited by this new one? All it means is that the Alolan variant has a CHANCE to be competitively viable now, while the old design remains shit-tier. And lets be real - most of these new redesigns will STILL be shit-tier even with a stat-shuffling.
At best you're getting a design similar to an old favourite that's a little stronger, but the far more likely outcome is that a new shittier looking version of an old favourite will completely outclass it and render it obsolete.
Seriously though, why would I want a Water-typed Arcanine? I like my fire Arcanine, and want IT to be better. This new regional variant thing doesn't offer that.
