My biggest gripe with this board is the constant ongoing war between "karenfags" and "smogonfags". I personally play competitively, and do a lot of research building my teams, and I do try to include my favorite Pokemon in them from time to time (though it helps that a fair deal of my favorites are in OU/UU). Then Karenfag McGee tells me that Espeon, Hydreigon, Tyranitar, and Volcarona aren't really my favorites and I'm just using them because they're OU.

I guarantee that if it receives a nerf in Gen VI of any kind, Smogon isn't going to bat an eyelash. They're simply going to try different strategies.

Call me a Smogonfag, sure, but it's an unjust criticism. I'm not going to yell at anyone for using a team of their favorites from UU/RU/NU on their OU team, nor am I going to yell at anyone who doesn't play competitively. A game is a game, and everyone derives enjoyment from it in their own way. You're free to make a team of your favorites or ignore Smogon's rules in favor of your own in your circle of friends, but please don't shit up the place by saying that's the only "objective" way to do things. Jesus Christ.
