I figured I'd watch all the Dawn episodes pre-Junior Cup in a row, but Iris' Dragonite is about to debut, so maybe not. The real treat has been seeing Oshawott and Piplup in the same room at the same time. Meloetta's probably the best ride-along Pokemon as well. Larvitar in Johto was overly whiny, and Poipole was annoying and kind of a bastard at times. Squishy doesn't count, but if it did, Meloetta would be up there with him.
A double edged treat has been Dawn and Iris becoming friends. They're both similar enough and yet so different in their strengths as characters that they mesh well together. So much so that the Onix episode was spectacular, even though I could feel Ash's pain, as the sympathetic pains of any dude who's had a close female friend start hanging out with an ex. Then again, considering Dawn had to learn about Cilan and Iris from Prof. Oak (because Ash apparently doesn't talk to his friends), I get it. I kind of began to turn on them a bit when they double-dogged on Cilan in the Cubchoo episode. The dude was just doing his best to solve a mystery. He wasn't even going full autism mode like he does with movies or trains. Zero reason to chap his ass, even if he gets ahead of himself sometimes.
