>>46609801grass/fire tropical jungle team it is
>LeaderOld timey pith helmeted explorer, the type you'd find all alone hunched over a map in darkest Africa and ask "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?" The town is located at the edge of a dense jungle, with the gym sign directing you down a narrow dirt path leading into the jungle.
Gym puzzle is exploring that jungle, which turns out to be a massive, randomly generating and regenerating maze, to find the leader. Your bag is temporarily emptied outside of a "canteen" key item, which can be filled at rare springs for 2 uses of fresh water + full heal. You'd be hacking your way through vines and thick jungle plants to reach a central clearing. Only some plants are cuttable, and you're constantly attacked by "wild" jungle pokemon of various types such as lickitung, vikavolt, kecleon etc. that'll pepper your team with status moves. Unlit tiki torches sometimes appear in the jungle, and you can light them with a fire move to "save" your progress; you can leave the jungle at any time, but without lighting a torch, you'll be stuck all the way back at the beginning for your next attempt. Weather condition is "opressive heat," which is bright sun + a sun-boosted heat wave hits your side of the field every 3 turns (from a noibat 70% of the time, from a salandit 20% of the time, from a solar power charizard 10% of the time). Trainers of various sorts (explorers, tribespeople, poachers) will occasionally bump into you; their teams are grass, fire, and fire/poison themed, respectively. Sometimes you can find a useful item like a bitter herb, charcoal, sharp beak, etc.
Eventually, you reach the central clearing.
Team:
Torkoal (campfire/stove)
Alolan Exeggutor (jungle plant)
Alolan Marowak (the tiki torches)
Tropius (jungle plant)
Darmanitan (monkey/relic)
Sceptile (grass type machete/jungle plant/big lizard)
It's a rough fight, especially because marowak and darmanitan in the sun are no slouches.
The TM reward is heat wave.
