I always want better. I could think of personal improvements I want to see to all games I play, even if they're my absolute favourites. That'll always happen though, you have to draw the line and be realistic.
More than likely the key difference between us is you probably value shit like graphics more than me. I don't give a fuck about graphics, more than half the games I play that aren't Pokemon are 2D, a 1/4of those are really basic graphics, like shmups and roguelikes (DCSS, Caves of Qud).
If you're gonna tell me you're not arguing about graphics, then what else? Random vs overworld encounters? I prefer random, as in, if gamefreak came up to me and literally gave me the choice between overworld encounters and random encounters, I'd pick random every single time.
I mean what exactly am I supposed to be outraged with? All of the things you want I more than likely don't. I like old Pokemon coming back, if I want to use only new Pokemon, then I'll do it, old pokemon being there too serve several purposes though, one of which is they provide options to use if you dislike a lot of the new Pokemon. I hate gen 5 because besides 1 Pokemon line, I hate every other Pokemon you have access to before the 4th gym. After that the choices get better and suit my tastes more, but until then I'm stuck with absolutely garbage Pokemon that I'll never like. Literally my least favourite Pokemon lines in the entire series.
So as you can see, I'm quite content with what I've been getting.
Would I like to see some things change? Obviously. I'd like less story based shit because quite frankly I couldn't give a fuck about story in a Pokemon game.
I always want more difficulty, but USUM already gave us objectively the most difficult game as far as mainline Pokemon games are concerned. They could give us a difficulty choice at the start maybe, that would be good.
