>>35608836Wally is exclusively there to be able to evolve first turn if I go second, but I can omit it since you need a pretty stellar beginner's hand to make it work (but it's hilarious when it does). As for Volkner, besides fetching the electric energy (if I hasn't already), it's nice to have a supporter that can fetch you an item at any time, so I'm leaning towards keeping him but could drop him if future matches leaves him unused.
Feel overall hesitant to ditch the Malasada and Escape Rope. Status effects are definitely a thing, and while I have Guzma, there will be plenty of moments where I won't have access to him, or when I can play a Sycamore or a Cynthia to get a new hand with either of those items to get out of a sticky situation. The Malasada is a recent addition so I could skip it, but I'd prefer to keep the rope.
Agreed on Oricorio and Nest Ball, they've been replaced with another compressor and a VS Seeker. Dumbbells are certainly an option since that could guarantee a 2HKO from the opponent while I 2HKO in return, can keep them in mind after playing some more, although so far Exeggutor can survive most hits since Muscle Bands aren't a staple.
>>35608225Figured I'd mention that Max Potion feels like an appropriate item for this deck given how Exeggutor only needs one energy to attack, actually ran three in the beginning but dropped it down to one. I suppose it can be dropped seeing how it's relatively easy to have Exeggcute's on the bench ready to evolve next turn and my opponents only get 1 prize card per defeat (ignoring Guzmaing my Leles), but I'll see if I find it worthwhile or not in future matches.
