I found a couple shinies in gen 7 without even trying and they were neat but since it was so easy it was not very satisfying. My nephew was playing PLA and I saw him run into a shiny Ambipom and he was happy but also underwhelmed because he already had a lot of shinies and he wasn't even looking for it. When I find shinies I'm not hunting in gen 3 it could be my least favorite pokemon and I would be ecstatic and use it on my team. It can take me months of suffering to find a shiny but it feels great when it happens. I really enjoy the handful of shinies I have.
