How dark are you willing to write a Pokémon story? What's the darkest one you've ever written?
Mine is the game I'm prepping for in a few months. One of the worlds they'll visit is one where Mewtwo rules and keeps humanity herded up in major cities while Pokémon have reclaimed everything else. Mewtwo got real into cloning and constantly clones the resistance leader and leaves the bodies of clones to decorate the cities as reminders not to rebel.
I don't usually make Pokémon into a gritty dark setting, but I do enjoy a grim moment every now and then.
