All the Kalos cockteasing/saying Melmetal was created 3000 years ago is for naught. Sword and Shield still might as well just take place in an alternate dimension and all of their shitty concepts from the past two gens will never be expanded upon or wrapped up.
Leon will still have Charizard as his ace, the dex will still be riddle with KANTOOOOO Pokemon.
The only good thing would be that future games are spared from KANTOOOO shoehorning because they won't have to include them in the dex just to prevent them from being cut.
