I love the ever-living shit out of my pokemon, and basically refuse to extensively breed any of the ones that are in my party, because it makes me feel awful somehow. I can't have boxes full of eggs and not feel somewhat not good about it.
I name the Pokes I use, and have recently started giving them more elaborate names as they evolve. Like- more "grown up" names, so to speak.
Because I'm 19 and a college student that lives with their parents, I sometimes find myself showing my Pokes to them. I don't really explain it too much, but I'll show my dad ones I think look cool, and my mum ones that I know she'll think are cute.
