>>40067903DQ has the Hell Hornet.
>>40068399Dragon Quest originally tried to be like Dungeons and Dragons, which means the series has a more western fantasy aesthetic through and through, while also being considerably less focused on the monsters than the other series in these comparisons for the first decade of the franchise's existence. That's why there's so little to work with there for what should be staples of the Japanese monster collecting genre. This is also why so many of the DQ entries ITT look so much more generic than everything around them, as most are designs from that first decade where monsters were just fodder for beating (though Dragon Quest V did start letting you recruit some monsters a few months before Pokemon came out) Furthermore, the last five games of the Dragon Quest: Monsters spinoff series never got official English releases, making it a bit of a pain to try and find anything about newer made-for-collecting-and-not-murderizing monsters in the franchise if you're not fluent in Japanese.
