This is a similar issue to the city tracks from Mario Kart Tour, there are 14 of them which represent the following countries:
Asia:
>Japan (Tokyo)
>Singapore
>Thailand (Bangkok)
Europe:
>France (Paris)
>England (London)
>Germany (Berlin)
>Netherlands (Amsterdam)
>Greece (Athens)
>Italy (Rome)
>Spain (Madrid)
North America:
>USA (New York, Los Angeles)
>Canada (Vancouver)
Oceania:
>Australia (Sydney)
The first thing you’ll notice is that all of these care world-famous cities you’d expect anyone to know, the second is that these are all politically safe countries, the third is that the country of every pokemon region has a track as representation; all this suggests that only politically safe and famous countries are on the table for regions and the list likely completely overlaps with the list of countries that have tracks, so:
>Germany
>Netherlands
>Greece
>Italy
>Singapore
>Australia
Are the most likely choices for the next region(s), Thailand I don’t know since it’s the only one of the countries in Mario Kart which isn’t considered fully developed
And going by how Mario Kart clearly avoided touching them:
>Mexico
>South America
>Africa
>Russia
>China
>Korea
>Hong Kong
>Taiwan
Are 100% NOT going to be considered for regions
