A container in the abandoned laboratory breaks open, and an incredibly strong Pokémon emerges from it. As Simon notices us and is about to ask for our help, the unidentified creature teleports away.
"Is... Is it gone? What was that? And I thought I told you to leave me alone, kid! Why are you still following me!? .................................... Huh? What am I doing here? Well, I've searched all over for my partner, and I still can't find him anywhere. ............ Do you remember the first time we fought, back in Azalea Town? I told you about an abandoned building, right? You're looking at what's left of it... Pokémon Mansion. This is the last place I saw my partner alive... For a while, I was afraid he met his end when the volcano erupted. But before, when you said I stole your Badges... I realized you must've actually meant my partner. He was the guy you saw on the St. Anne, not me. So, he must've been alive then, but now... Well, he cheated death once, yeah? Maybe he could do it twice, then! You were on that ship, and you're still alive, so... So, I'll keep on looking for him. ............ Rick, right? I'll see ya around, kid!"
And with that, Simon heads out, a little more optimistic than before.
