You can make good panoramas without them and just because you're able to check every single strand of grass or grain of sand doesn't make good content nor something worth "exploring". SwSh wild area, PLA wild area x 5, SV wild area x world, all the same.
Meanwhile, look what the last Kirby has done with the same camera traveling Pokemon used for routes/towns in DS/3DS era, it's night and day.
Splash in some of the gorgeous BDSP concept arts for environments, Pokemons in place of overworld enemies, add the capture from PLA with the same kind of aim than the ranger power, work on level design/secrets. I would take a Pokemon game like that in a heartbeat, they should take inspiration on platformers instead of open worlds, especially with a mount that can jump, swim, climb, etc...
