>>56033255firstly, you should make an npc, i think, the best is to make an npc oc, who's not even relevant to main plot or exists as the background character, lurking in shadows or past. imo, gym leader is a not bad thing, but please don't make them TOO cool, or make them cool, but still limit them (like, you make a strongest gym leader in the region, but world-wide they're like only #35). Or you can make character who just acts like a normal person, but with pokemon, it goes fine, has more soul since its a normal person who doesn't makes their pokemon fight.
