Bulbagarden insisted that all members of the Pokemon fandom (ie tumblr, deviantart, fanfiction) put immediate halt on naming any X/Y ships until the games come out just so that, if chances are that there is actual evidence of ships in-game, they can use that scene as the ship name.
That's right. They attempted to stop fans from naming shit on their own and spreading it around just so they can do it themselves.
They've been pushing this since January.
