>>45538571I prefer fantasy. I've always been a sucker for ancient ruins and lost civilizations in videogames. I loved the Ruins of Alph in Gen 2 and the Regis in Gen 3. Unown is one of my favorite pokemon for this reason alone, despite being almost unusable in-game.
The problem with the modern pokemon games is the presentation, not the setting. In my opinion we could easily have the best of both worls fantasy but it can be presented in a more somber, grounded way with less silly cutscenes and outlandish designs.
