aegislash was kind of in a similar situation but instead of buffing their good move they buffed the shit out of their shitty move, which made him go from 1/4 move combinations being useful to 3/4 due to sacred sword working well with both other moves
also yeah that buff to his sword boosteds did nothing but he gets 20% more healing from shield boosteds and double the stun from sacred sword which is a big difference
