Ib was upfront against Bugsy's Scyther, and I was glad he didn't do U-turn, just Focus Energy and Quick Attack, which translated to a 2HKO from Ib's Rock Throw. Then that just left his chonky Metapod and Kakuna at the mercy of the pebble and the bat. He was thusly swatted.
Venturing into Ilex Forest, Irvine learned the Headbutt, took a quick moment to properly evolve Minty John, double-backed to Route 33 and rudely woke up a Spearow, and named her after a... KIND OF OKAY attack?
T.C.S.A. ate well in the Ilex Forest to catch up.
Unfortunately, tonight just didn't seem like a good night. Irvine headbutt a tree in Route 34, popping a Pineco (something I've never really found in a past game before), and after love-tapping it, it chose death over bondage, and took poor Tlazlteotl with it. Then a choice encounter with an excited fan resulted with Gastrail getting devoured by a Snubbull.
So much for new recruits, huh?
Binghus and Romando are chilling in the Daycare, while the main squad's recovering in Goldenrod, where I still need to double back and clear out the trainers there.
