News flash, tard: no pokemon games are good Turn based RPGs. Zero.
They are very good turn based multiplayer RPGs (the only ones actually) but as standalone titles they're extremely easy and very mediocre on every level EXCEPT for the creatures themselves.
Digimon World on the PS1 blew RBGY out of the water, and every pokemon game since, including SV.

It's because the creatures fucking SUCK. They suck shit.
They got maybe 1 or 2 cool stages and then they're all dudes in armor. Your dog turns into a cat, turns into a woman, turns into a man, turns into Falcor from the neverending story. It's supposed to be meme-based (holy auspices, in this case), but it's not nearly as compelling as lizard with its tail on fire.
In Pokemon you catch a creature that looks like it might really live in the world, and learn some information about how it lives, it's like you're playing through a nature documentary almost.
In Digimon your cyber monster is a dragon with half of its body made of artificial android parts and it shoots Tomahawk missiles from real life and it just makes no fucking sense whatsoever and doesn't attempt to.
That's the part that matters.
Gholdengo and Quaquaval? Shit game.
Alolan Ninetales but also Stakataka and Tapupeepeepoo? Mid game.
Espurr and Noivern, but also Klefki? Good game.
Charmander and Pikachu and another 149 straight hits? Masterpiece. It's pokemania time, faggot.
