>>52349828Except you don't need to actually explore to find mons. Biome based generation means that the main path through an area will spawn exactly the same mons as every other part of it. Finding a rare pokemon isn't because you managed to track it down, or find an obscure hidden grotto, it's because the random number generator rolled in your favour.
The only things you actually need to explore for are TMs and stakes
