>>35052956The biggest and most important thing you need to know is that when it comes to your first foray into trying to figure out how to art: it's WAY more difficult than you could possibly imagine. That's doubly true if you're just starting
like me and didn't draw when you were a little rugrat.
The second thing you need to know is that you won't start out being Picasso. Don't try something grandiose right off the bat or you'll merely discourage yourself. I'd recommend that you practice using references so that you can get a feel for how basic shapes are drawn and colored. As you get better, you can use the references as a base, but eventually keep making more and more subtle changes to them until you can mold them into something different. You'd be surprised how difficult it is to translate what's in your head onto a paper or tablet. You'll want to start out drawing simple things that aren't too pointy or frilly, as I found those kinds of things cause the most frustration.
All that being said, I'm less of a teacher and more of an angry mini man who draws with a passion to destroy rather than create.
