These "confidential concept art" things aren't their style at all. Far too much dynamic fluff that isn't in these concept arts usually.
Sure, pic related shows us Mega Sceptile's tree launching thing, but it doesn't show him firing it at a target or slamming it all over the plac eand shit.
It's more about the specifics of how it should be shaped and drawn rather than showing expressions and shit.
That's more common for anime/cartoon things where they have to care about dynamic expressions. Not for the pokemon designs in game.
