The skill trigger mechanics aren't transparent and it might be that some species favour trigger rates that others don't.
The excellent Wigglytuff I have (from this shiny Iggly two months ago) triggers 3 times most days, but I had a couple days recently where it only triggered once, and not at all. That's the exception, not the norm.
The norm is going to bed and my helpers are all still at 80%+ energy.
It'll be really difficult for me to find a Ralts that'll match or surpass my Wiggly, anyway. I do intend to run a good Gardevoir though, should I get one. It'll be especially good for Lapis Lakeside, but Wiggly still has the pecha berries needed for Cyan Beach.
