>>42462272It's honestly hard to put my finger on it, considering that your ceramic dragon image was determined to be from around 500A.D. or so. While not out of the realm of possibility to have had access to African animals some how, especially considering China's early tributary system, I actually think that's just a stylized deer or some such. It would have to be stylized anyways with the elongated abdomen, so much like an abdomen doesn't fit with any animal, the neck might not have been meant to either. This tube-like jade dragon is one of the earlier depictions from 3000ish b.c.
