Caught in Pokemon Emerald when I got it on release, as a Ralts at the start of the game. I remembered Wally having one in Sapphire and really wanted my own when Emerald came out. He was my ace that playthrough and the first time my "main" mon in a game wasn't just a starter. I grew very fond of him and especially on reading the Pokedex description he became my favourite Pokemon.
Since then he's always my first priority once I get to post-game. I transfer him and we continue our adventures. We've been together 14 years so far and have done just about everything you can do between Gen 3 and 8. Back in the day he had Synchronize and Lum-Synchro sets were really fun. But since Ability Capsules were a thing he's had Trace since it's a lot more fun. I'll miss his Mega, definitely, it was really nice that he got to really visually show off as my ace with that Mega. He'll always be my biggest Pokebro though no matter what.
I imagine him to be outwardly stoic and mysterious like most Gardevoir, but with those he's comfortable around, a little more active and playful, maybe even a bit of a smartass.
