Itd be worse for Germany because of how removed from us you are in politics and because everyone already has an accepted view of your country, thats confirmed by others with the same view. So theres no desire or drive to learn more and see how wrong/narrow our view actually is.
America in general is much much less aware of other countries than other countries are aware of it. Theres just nothing at all in this country or in our schooling that would ever make us naturally stop and think "Hey maybe I should learn about x place."
