I find it interesting that even though Lucas' Pt design is miles ahead of the fucking travesty that was his DP design, he's still utterly bottom tier in terms of popularity as a protagonist and not even PLA could get people to care about him since all art is Dawn/Hikari focused. We don't see this with other MCs to this degree, for example I'd say Hilbert is stupidly popular in spite of being next to the bombshell that is Hilda. The only other one who comes close is Sun, but at least both him and Chicken were universally agreed to be downgraded come USUM.
