Just because a port is technically impressive on paper doesn't always mean it's a good way to play the game. The Switch version of Witcher 3 is objectively the worst way to experience it, and, if anything, is a testament to the Switch's extreme limitations.
Again, no excuses for the slop that Game Freak puts out, but a competently-made Pokemon game would still have framerate issues out the ass like practically any game on the system that couldn't have been made for the Atari.
